We specialize in Staffing, Consulting, Software Development, and Training along with IT services to small to medium size companies. AG's primary objective is to help companies maximize their IT resources and meet the ever-changing IT needs and challenges.
In addition, AG offers enterprise resource planning and enterprise application integration, supply-chain management, e-commerce solutions, and B2B public exchanges and B2B process integration solutions. Our company provides application analysis, design, development and programming, software engineering, systems development, testing, integration, and implementation, and management consulting services to various clients – including governmental agencies and private companies – throughout the United States and India.
We provide these services in multiple computing environments and use technologies such as client/server architecture, object-oriented programming languages and tools, distributed database management systems, state-of-the-art networking, and communications infrastructures. Our honest and realistic approach to recruiting dictates that AG does not entice or lure engineers from their employers. We represent only high caliber technical professionals who have committed to making a change required by career.
The main piece is going to be WPF experience(about 1-2 years).
They would need to do a Face to Face for the final interview.
C#, SQL , and WPF are the top skills.
Top Three
Skills:
- Data Binding:
This is one of the main things that they will be screening on (most candidates that miss are not strong enough with WPF/Data Binding). They will dig in deep to the WPF knowledge. (we have a current team member who will do a technical assessment on WPF)
Job Description:
Currently, Nationstar is looking for a .NET Developer to help with the development and enhancements for their internal applications. There will be little to no maintenance work as they have resources responsible for BAU work. They want someone who can create detailed technical documentation including Design Specifications, Report Guides, System Descriptions, and Change Control Forms. The focus is on delivering efficient code that minimizes performance impacts and post-installation issues.
Most of the work will be on new development within existing and new applications.
The candidates MUST have very good experience with WPF and Data Binding. They are looking for someone who has completed more than one project with WPF, as limited experience often does not pass the technical assessment.
Additional Information:
Prior mortgage experience is preferred but not required. The manager has found that candidates from large financial institutions often get pigeonholed in certain technologies and do not adapt well. Ideally, candidates from smaller shops (1-3 people) who have worn multiple hats and are adaptable are preferred.
Follow-up interview scheduled for Wednesday 11-18-15 at 8:30. The position is not officially open in the VMS, so competition is limited. Previous resumes lacked sufficient WPF experience, typically only one or two projects or small applications.
This environment is fast-paced with many projects, often scheduled in 90-day sprints, and more projects are expected from the business side.
Required background includes C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, with at least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer or analyst, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework and related technologies. WPF experience is a must.
Preferred skills include experience in the mortgage industry or financial applications, solid understanding of OOD, OOP, and design patterns, and database development experience with SQL Server 2008/2010, stored procedures, triggers, etc. Experience with classic ASP, VB, and COM/DCOM applications is a plus.
Interview Process:
A two-step process: an initial 30-minute technical and personality phone screen, followed by a face-to-face interview with the manager and team lead.
Customer Impact:
The internal team relies on these applications for efficiency and to support ongoing investments.
Business Challenge:
The team is behind schedule on several projects and needs additional resources to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
Work Environment:
The manager is hands-off and flexible with work hours, focusing on productivity and performance. Nationstar is growing rapidly, becoming a major mortgage servicer.
Non-Technical
Skills:
Ability to work independently, good communication, and adaptability are essential. Candidates needing constant direction will not succeed in this environment.
Position Status:
Open due to multiple ongoing projects requiring additional resources.
Project Lifecycle:
Development on existing applications.
Technical Environment:
.NET, C#, ASP.NET, WPF, WPC
Duration: 4-6 months
Interview Steps: Technical screening followed by face-to-face.
