Associate Software Engineer

As the Junior Software Engineer for a Fortune 75 airline company, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, maintenance, and support of IT Financial Systems. Responsible for leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business problems by participating in all phases of the development process from inception through transition, advocating the agile process and test-driven development, using object-oriented development tools to analyze, model, design, construct and test reusable objects, and making the codebase better.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience/training
• Demonstrated experience in the following:
• Java, Spring boot is a must
• Familiarity with version control using Git Hub and implementing CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Cloud technologies, preferably Azure
• Proven ability to work in high-stress, fast-moving environments while maintaining code quality

• Writes, tests, and documents technical work products (e.g., code, scripts, processes) according to organizational standards and practices
• Devotes time to raising the quality and craftsmanship of products and systems
• Conducts root cause analysis to identify domain level problems and prescribes action items to mitigate
• Design, develop, and deploy 4–5 new enterprise-scale payment applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Modernize and enhance legacy processes currently running on mainframe systems as part of a broader cloud migration strategy.
• Work across existing codebases, contributing to enhancements and integrations as needed.
  
  Navigate fast-paced development cycles and thrive under pressure, consistently driving results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Java, Spring Boot, Git Hub, and CI/CD pipelines to manage and deploy code efficiently.
• Operate in a cloud-native environment, primarily leveraging Azure and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
