TIBCO BW​/EMS Developer - Irving, TX locals

This nationwide industry leader has an immediate 3+ month contract opportunity in Irving, TX for a TIBCO BW/EMS Developer.

Will be responsible for developing software applications for the telematics industry/wireless mobile environment.

Will play a key role in developing an application written in TIBCO and/or Java.

Will work in a team to prototype the software platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing, designing, and implementing backend software solutions of varying complexity.

• Playing a senior role in the project’s software development effort including providing expertise for schedule estimation, functionality, integration, and deployment activities.

• Being a TIBCO subject matter expert. As such, this role requires that the individual be able to apply best practices for implementing TIBCO solution, not limited to:

oArchitecture and design for optimum performance.

oCreation of workflows within TIBCO.

oThe use of appropriate TIBCO tools and applications.

oLaunching of Java web services from within TIBCO.

• The ability to research and provide guidance on ESB trends and strategy.

• Good knowledge of Java REST and SOAP based web services.

• Providing well-written design documents from requirements documents (even loosely specified requirements).

• Participating in, coordinating, or conducting Software Engineering activities to mature the software infrastructure including architecture, design, methodologies, best practices, standards, etc.

• Performing all other duties as assigned.

This position requires:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.

• 5+ years of TIBCO software development experience in a UNIX/Linux environment – candidates with a strong Linux programming background are preferred.

• 5 years in Object Oriented Design techniques.

• Experience in TIBCO development and design using TIBCO suite of products (Business works 5.13 or higher, Enterprise Message Service, Adapters, Administrator & Hawk monitor).

• Experience in deployment architecture, configuration, performance tuning and monitoring of TIBCO components.

• Experience with MFT is a plus.

• Experience in designing and building scalable web services using commodity hardware.

• Java experience: JDK 1.7 or higher,Junit, JAXB, XML.

• Server knowledge:
Apache/Tomcat, Wildfly/EAP v6.x or higher.

• Web technology knowledge: SOAP, Web Services.

• Framework:
Spring.

• Database knowledge:
Oracle, SQL, DB2, JDBC, MySQL, Hibernate.

• Experience with version control software such as SVN, Git, etc.

• Experience with IDE such as Eclipse.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven success in delivering working solutions under tight deadlines.
