We are seeking an experienced C++ Software Engineer III to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade software solutions. This role requires strong expertise in modern C++, Python, test automation, and software design, along with the ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive projects from design through delivery.
Required Qualifications- Must have overall 12+ years of experience
- Must have 10+ years of C++ development experience
- Must have 5+ years of C++ development experience in a Windows environment
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Modern C++ (C++11+)
- 3+ years of Python development experience
- Experience leading projects, mentoring team members, and conducting code reviews
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, Gherkin)
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Google Test or Cpp Unit
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with TCP/IP socket programming and networking concepts
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
- Experience with Java or .NET
- Retail, POS, or Convenience Store industry experience
- Cloud-based application development
- High-volume, high-availability systems
- PCI compliance, secure software development, and data encryption
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable C++ applications and product features
- Own software solutions from design through implementation and deployment
- Develop and automate BDD test scenarios
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
- Troubleshoot complex software and system issues
- Perform code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices
- Participate in architecture, design, testing, and release planning activities
- Support production applications and drive timely issue resolution
