* Summary:

** In this role, you will lead an engineering team responsible for designing, delivering, and operating scalable, high-quality software solutions that support critical business capabilities and customer experiences. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people leadership, ensuring strong engineering practices while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

You will partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, Security, Operations, and Delivery teams to align technical execution with business strategy, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure operational excellence. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to lead through ambiguity, and a passion for building resilient, secure, and scalable platforms.

The ideal candidate combines engineering leadership, software delivery expertise, and a systems-thinking mindset to guide teams through complex technical challenges while continuously improving engineering effectiveness, quality, and reliability. You will also champion the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, automation, and emerging technologies to improve delivery outcomes and engineering productivity.
** Responsibilities:
*** Support vendor and partner engineering teams by providing technical oversight, governance, and accountability where appropriate.
* Lead the design, architecture, development, and operation of scalable, high-performance software solutions.
* Guide engineering teams through complex technical challenges and ensure sound architectural and engineering decisions.
* Contribute to the codebase as needed, delivering efficient, maintainable, secure, and well-tested solutions.
* Establish and reinforce engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational readiness.
* Partner with Product Managers, stakeholders, and business leaders to understand priorities and translate them into actionable technical plans.
* Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
* Lead technical planning efforts, estimation activities, and roadmap execution.
* Drive modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, platform scalability, automation, and technical debt reduction.
* Foster a healthy, collaborative, and inclusive team environment that supports engagement, accountability, and high performance.
* Promote a culture of ownership, continuous learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.
* Collaborate with architecture, security, cloud operations, and platform teams to ensure consistency and alignment across solutions.

* Review and validate technical designs, implementation approaches, and architectural decisions to ensure long-term maintainability and scalability.
