Fyre Lake Golf Club - Sherrard, IL

The Outside Operations Manager is responsible for delivering top-notch customer service and overseeing all aspects of the outside golf operations at Fyre Lake Golf Club. From the moment guests arrive at the bag drop until their clubs are loaded back into their cars, this role ensures a seamless, professional, and memorable experience.

This is more than just a management position - it's an opportunity to learn the golf business from the ground up, with growth potential for the right candidate to pursue a career as a PGA Professional and even take on larger leadership responsibilities at Fyre in the future.

• Lead and supervise outside staff, ensuring exceptional guest service at bag drop, cart staging, and practice facilities
• Oversee daily cart operations: cleanliness, maintenance, staging, GPS monitoring, and storage
• Manage bag drop operations: greeting players, loading/unloading clubs, club cleaning, and valet-level service
• Monitor pace of play
• Coordinate with golf shop and F&B teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
• Train, motivate, and schedule team members for consistency and accountability
  
  Maintain a first-class image of the property, including cart staging area, practice range, and clubhouse entry
• Support tournaments, outings, and special events with logistics and execution
• Act as an ambassador of Fyre Lake
  , setting the standard for service and professionalism

• Aspiring PGA Professional or motivated individual with goals to advance in the golf industry
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and inspire a team
• Previous customer service or hospitality experience required; golf operations experience strongly preferred
• Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
