Job Title:
Machine Maintenance Technician

Our manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in machine maintenance and repair in a manufacturing setting, though experience in the following mechanical trades will also be considered: heavy or industrial machine mechanic (forklift, construction machinery, truck mechanic, boat mechanic).

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on various machines and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
  • Rebuild and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed.
  • Use basic welding skills to repair and fabricate machine parts.
  • Apply basic mechanical engineering knowledge to improve machine performance and efficiency.
  • Sewing machine repair experience is a plus, but not required.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shift, 6:30am - 5:00pm (flexibility required)

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical problems using a multimeter.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics and the ability to rebuild and repair them.
  • Basic welding knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written) for effective communication and following precise instructions.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
