Assistant Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Irwindale, CA | Full-Time
- $1,400-$1,600 Per Week
We’re looking for an Assistant Superintendent to help lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects in Southern California.
This is a hands-on field role for someone who understands how a commercial job site operates, can coordinate multiple trades, and knows how to help keep projects safe, organized, on schedule, and moving forward.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:- Support the Superintendent with daily field operations
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, and site activities
- Help plan daily and weekly construction schedules
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or conflicts
- Review plans, drawings, specifications, and field conditions
- Conduct job-site walks to monitor safety, quality, workmanship, and progress
- Coordinate work between trades and help resolve field issues
- Track inspections, deliveries, daily activities, photos, and project documentation
- Assist with quality control, punch lists, and project closeout
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Reinforce OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements
- At least 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, Foreman, Lead, or similar field construction role
- Understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and job-site operations
- Ability to read construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
- Working knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced field environment
- Basic Microsoft Office skills; construction management software experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
