Pierre Landscape is looking for a strategic, hands‑on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and partner directly with the President and ownership.

As our CFO, you will serve as a key business partner in driving company growth, financial strategy, and operational excellence. You will take full executive ownership of our financial operations while providing high‑level oversight and strategic guidance across our Accounting, Purchasing, and Fleet departments. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—we are looking for a leader who can optimize supply chain economics, manage capital assets, scale financial systems, and provide deep insights that shape the future of an established, profitable specialty contractor.

If you are a seasoned financial leader with a strong background in construction or project‑based industries who is ready to help steer a growing company to the next level, we want to hear from you.

Strategic Financial Leadership & Corporate Governance
  • Partner with the President and executive leadership to formulate the company’s long‑term financial strategy, business planning, and growth initiatives.

  • Evaluate company performance, identify financial risks and growth trends, and recommend actionable adjustments to optimize operational profitability.

  • Serve as the principal financial strategist for capital allocation, financing decisions, structural budgeting, and risk mitigation.

  • Manage comprehensive corporate risk, including overseeing insurance renewals, General Liability, Workers' Compensation, and bonding requirements.

  • Serve as the primary executive contact for external financial partners, CPA firms, banks, legal counsel, and auditors.

Department Oversight:
Accounting, Purchasing & Fleet
  • Accounting & Finance:
Oversee the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, cash flow management, working capital, month‑end/year‑end closes, tax compliance, and corporate financial planning.

  • Purchasing:
Provide strategic oversight of the purchasing department, vendor negotiations, material procurement, supply chain efficiency, and cost‑control strategies to protect project margins.

  • Fleet Management:
Oversee company fleet operations, vehicle/equipment acquisition strategies, maintenance cost tracking, asset utilization, and capital expenditure planning.

Construction Accounting & Financial Planning
  • Direct construction accounting, project financial reporting, job costing architectures, WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting, and cost-to-complete analysis.

  • Lead the comprehensive annual budgeting process, variance analysis, and multi-year financial forecasting.

  • Oversee payroll operations, including administrative payroll, weekly Union payroll, certified payroll compliance, prevailing wage adherence, and union reporting.

Executive Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and team members across Accounting, Purchasing, and Fleet operations.

  • Establish high‑level performance metrics, clear departmental priorities, accountability standards, and scalable processes.

  • Cultivate a culture of cross‑departmental collaboration, operational efficiency, and rigorous financial stewardship.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.

  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a minimum of 5+ years operating at a Controller or CFO level within the construction, specialty contracting, or project-based industries.
