Librarian

Overview

The Contract Librarian will be responsible for managing and organizing the library collection at our educational institution in Isa Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in library science and a passion for promoting literacy and learning. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of $1000 per month and candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of one year.

• Develop and maintain an efficient system for cataloging, shelving, and loaning books
• Assist students and faculty with research inquiries and locating resources
• Plan and implement programs to promote reading and literacy among students
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instruction
• Manage budget for purchasing new materials and maintaining existing collection
• Stay updated on current trends in library science technology and education

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with library management systems
• Ability to work independently
