Part-Time Librarian

We are hiring a Part-Time Librarian to join our library team in Isa Town. As a part-time librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the library, including organising and maintaining the collection, helping patrons find materials, and providing reference and research assistance. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for books and knowledge, and who is looking for a flexible work schedule.

• Assist with circulation services, including checking materials in and out
• Organize and maintain the library's physical collection
• Help patrons locate materials using the library's online catalog system
• Provide reference and research assistance to patrons
• Assist with collection development by selecting new materials to add to the library's collection
• Plan and implement library programs and events for all ages
• Maintain accurate records of library usage statistics
• Stay updated on current trends in literature, technology, and library services

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting is required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of library classification systems, online catalog systems, and research databases
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
