Overview
SEND Support Assistant (1:2) – Mainstream Primary School, Isleworth. A welcoming mainstream primary school is seeking an experienced SEND Support Assistant to provide 1:2 support for children in Year 2 with ADHD and behavioural needs.
Hours:
8:30am – 3:45pm, Monday to Friday. Role: 1:2 classroom-based SEND support.
- Support two pupils within the classroom and around the school.
- Manage and support challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent way.
- Set clear boundaries and maintain high expectations.
- Use a firm but fair approach to support focus, engagement, and regulation.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to follow behaviour and support plans.
- Previous experience supporting children with ADHD and behavioural challenges.
- Confident behaviour management skills.
- Calm, resilient, and consistent approach.
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
