Are you a patient, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with SEND? We’re looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school with a specialist SEND unit in Hounslow
.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children build confidence, overcome challenges and thrive in a supportive school environment.
The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to children with SEND across Early Years and Key Stage 1.
- Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment by preparing sensory areas, play spaces and classrooms.
- Work closely with teachers to support and deliver interactive, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and help them develop academically, socially and emotionally.
- Provide consistent, patient and nurturing support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have at least 6 months’ experience working with KS1 children
, including nursery experience. - Have previous experience working with children with SEND
. - Are patient, approachable, nurturing and confident working on a 1:1 basis.
- Are available Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
. - Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service
, or are willing to apply for one. - Are passionate about making a positive difference to children’s lives.
Pay: £80-£100 per day PAYE
, depending on experience, qualifications and skills.
Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
