Paediatric Ward Manager - Starlight Ward

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced nurse to support our Paediatric Team at the West Middlesex University Hospital. The post is based in Starlight Ward, a 20‑bed room caring for patients aged 0‑16 with a range of conditions.

• Lead the ward as a compassionate and visible leader, providing sound clinical expertise and delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care.
• Act as a role model, exemplifying expert clinical care, providing educational support, and upholding PROUD values.
• Manage daily clinical and operational activities for the paediatric inpatient areas and spearhead innovative quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Paediatric ED to enhance patient flow and throughput.
• Participate in high‑level decision‑making with Ward Managers, Lead Nurses and Modern Matrons to develop best practice, guidance and consistent processes across the team.
• Develop your own career through further leadership and management opportunities.
• Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.
