Location: Angel
Central Government Sector Leader up to £160,000 base up to 40% bonus | Farringdon (1-2 days/week) About Our Client Our client is a fast-growing, AI-native consultancy thats doing some really interesting work helping organisations rethink how they operate and transform in the AI era.
The Role The Central Government Sector Leader will win, own and grow the firm's entire Central Government consulting services business, effectively running their own business within the organisation. You'll define the sector strategy, build relationships across government, win consulting work, and establish the firm as a recognised name in the Central Government market. Around 70% of the role is focused on commercial growth: winning new consulting opportunities, building senior relationships across Central Government, growing existing accounts, developing new clients, shaping new consulting propositions, and representing the firm externally at conferences and government events.
The remainder involves supporting delivery, working with internal consultants, helping shape propositions, and building capability across the growing Central Government practice. What You'll Be Doing Own the Central Government strategy and P&L Win high-value consulting engagements Build senior relationships across government Shape new AI-led consulting propositions Build and grow the Central Government practice What We're Looking For A track record of growing a Central Government consulting service and winning major government consulting services engagements Consulting services background Strong Central Government network Proven consulting sales/growth track record Commercial leadership experience growing out a sector within a consultancy Package Basic salary ~£155,000, depending on experience Up to 40% bonus based on firm and individual performance 27 days' annual leave (excluding bank holidays), rising to 30 based on performance Private medical and dental insurance Hybrid working, with 1-2 days per week in our clients' Farringdon office
