About the Role

Long Term Futures are seeking a nurturing and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Early Years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at a welcoming primary school in Islington.

This long-term role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support, helping the child engage in play-based learning, develop communication skills and regulate emotions within a structured classroom environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies, including visual timetables, sensory support and consistent routines.

You will assist with early phonics, communication development, social interaction and transitions throughout the school day, building a strong, trusting relationship that promotes confidence and independence.
