About the Role

In this role, you will work as a Nursery Nurse within the Early Years provision of a welcoming primary school in Islington. The Nursery Nurse will provide high-quality support to children in Nursery, helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment.

A key part of this Nursery Nurse position involves supporting pupils' social, emotional and educational development through structured activities and play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework. The Nursery Nurse will work closely with the class teacher to ensure all children are making strong progress.

You will:

Provide consistent support as a Nursery Nurse throughout the school day
Support early phonics, numeracy and communication development as a Nursery Nurse
Encourage positive behaviour and model good social skills as a Nursery Nurse
Assist with personal care and daily routines where required
Observe, monitor and record children's progress
Work closely with the class teacher, EYFS lead and wider support staff

This Nursery Nurse role would suit someone caring, proactive and enthusiastic, with a genuine commitment to supporting children in their early years. Previous experience as a Nursery Nurse or in a nursery setting is highly desirable. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification would be advantageous.
