Aspiring Psychologist – Learning Support Assistant (Islington)
Pay: £108 per day
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract:
Full-time, Term Time Only
Location:
Islington, North London
Start Date:
1 September 2026
This specialist provision supports young people who have struggled in mainstream education due to anxiety and depression, emotionally based school avoidance, trauma and social, emotional and mental health needs. Your role will focus on rebuilding confidence, trust and emotional safety, enabling students to gradually return to learning in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with anxiety, depression and other emotional challenges.
- Promote emotional regulation and relationship building.
- Implement personalised learning approaches.
- Psychology graduate or experienced Learning Support Assistant.
- Aspiring Educational or Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Practitioner/therapist, Youth Justice or Criminal Justice professional, Probation Officer or Social Worker/Safeguarding professional.
- Hands‑on experience supporting young people with anxiety and depression.
- Understanding of behaviour linked to trauma and emotional learning challenges.
