Position: Teacher of English – Outstanding Sixth Form
An Outstanding-rated Comprehensive Sixth Form in
Islington is looking for a permanent, full-time Teacher of English,
starting January 2026. This is an opportunity to join a truly

language across all Key Stages. Responsibilities You will deliver
inspiring and rigorous tuition across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5
(A-Level). Your focus is driving high attainment and fostering a
deep appreciation for diverse literary texts, advanced critical
analysis, and confident communication. You will actively
participate in the department’s co-curricular programmes, such as
writing workshops, debating societies, and theatre trips. You are
expected to contribute to the school's commitment to continuous
improvement and staff wellbeing. Requirements You must hold
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You must have passed your induction
period and possess a successful record of teaching English at KS4
and KS5. You must have the right to work in the UK. You must hold a
