The Role - ASD Teaching Assistant

As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Year 3 pupil with ASD, delivering tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day. You will help with learning activities, encourage social interaction and implement strategies that promote independence and positive behaviour. Working with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help create a consistent, structured, and engaging environment where this pupil can achieve their full potential.

Experience supporting children with ASD is essential for this role.

The School - ASD Teaching Assistant

This friendly and inclusive primary school is in Islington, only a 6 minute walk from the nearest train station. The school caters for pupils aged 3-11 and has a strong focus on providing an environment where every child is valued, nurtured and encouraged to succeed. Staff work collaboratively to deliver excellent SEN provision, supporting pupils with complex needs, including ASD and SEMH.

The school was graded 'Good' by Ofsted.
