Position: Façade Engineer
Location: Clerkenwell

This is an amazing role for a facade engineer to work on different types of projects including both residential and commercial work. This position would suit someone with previous façade engineering and someone with a high technical ability, who is familiar with key software’s such as AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Develop facade and envelope designs from concept to construction stage

• Engineer facade systems including glazing, curtain walling, cladding, and rainscreen assemblies

• Assess structural integrity, thermal performance, air and water tightness

• Produce calculations, reports, specifications, and detailed technical documentation

• Liaise with architects, contractors, and specialist suppliers throughout the project lifecycle

• Review technical submissions, drawings, and material proposals

• Provide technical support during site works and respond to design queries

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project criteria

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline

• Experience working with facade or building envelope systems

• Solid knowledge of materials, fixings, interfaces, and installation methods

• Familiarity with relevant design codes and performance testing

• Ability to manage priorities across multiple façade projects

• Involvement in complex or large-scale façade projects

• Knowledge of sustainability, energy efficiency, or façade performance modelling

• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams

• Professional accreditation or progress toward chartership
