Senior Forward Deployed Engineer; FDE Agentic AI

David Kennedy Recruitment is partnering with a global technology services and consulting organisation, that is seeking to onboard a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer specialising in Agentic AI to join their team in London.

This is a hands-on engineering role combining AI development, enterprise software integration and direct customer engagement. You will design, build, integrate and deploy AI agents and multi-agent systems into production environments, taking ownership of technical delivery from initial discovery through to enterprise rollout.

• Design and develop production-ready AI agents and multi-agent workflows

• Build AI solutions using platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google and Microsoft, alongside frameworks such as Lang Graph

• Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, cloud services and internal business systems

• Implement retrieval pipelines, automation workflows and agent orchestration

• Develop evaluation frameworks, automated testing, monitoring and production safeguards

• Troubleshoot AI model, integration, deployment and performance issues

• Own technical delivery from discovery and prototyping through production deployment

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for reliability, security, maintainability and scalability

• Several years of hands-on software engineering experience using Python, Type Script, Java or equivalent programming languages

• Proven experience developing applications using large language models (LLMs) and AI agents

• Hands-on experience with at least one major agentic AI ecosystem, such as OpenAI Agents SDK, Anthropic Claude Agent SDK, Google ADK, Microsoft Agent Framework, Lang Graph or an equivalent framework

• Strong understanding of agent orchestration, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompting and multi-agent workflows

• Experience integrating APIs, databases, enterprise applications and cloud services

• Strong software architecture, debugging, testing and integration skills

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions
