Experteer Overview You will support the JRC decommissioning programme by coordinating activities, developing strategies, and ensuring regulatory alignment across multiple European sites. The role combines technical input with project coordination in a client-facing setting, contributing to waste management, safety, and engineering deliverables. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to manage risks, monitor progress, and shape decommissioning plans that advance nuclear cleanup and waste handling.
This is a hands-on, impact-focused opportunity in a collaborative JV environment.
Retribuzione / Benefits Plan and coordinate decommissioning activities, including dismantling strategies, methodologies, work sequences, and constraint/risk management
Provide technical input on dismantling and cutting techniques, waste forecasts, and material flows
Prepare and review technical documentation such as decommissioning plans, studies, and engineering notes
Coordinate interfaces across waste management, radiation protection, licensing/compliance, and engineering
Support oversight of decommissioning activities by tracking progress, risks, and technical guidance
Contribute to project reporting, dashboards, and coordination meetings
Operate in a multi-stakeholder environment with alignment between the client (JRC), JV partners, subcontractors, and specialists
ResponsabilitàExperience in nuclear decommissioning or related fields (nuclear engineering, waste management, radiological environments)
Experience delivering technical projects in regulated environments
Understanding of decommissioning methodologies and dismantling techniques
Knowledge of waste generation and management during decommissioning
Health, safety and radiological considerations
Ability to contribute to technical documentation and engineering deliverables
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Relevant degree (engineering or related discipline) or equivalent experience
Ability to work full-time on-site in Ispra, Lombardy (Italy)
English language proficiency (minimum B2 level)
