FGIV - Project Officer - Spatiotemporal data scientist to monitor agricultural practices

The current vacancy is in the Directorate for Sustainable Resources, Food Security Unit. The Unit cross-disciplinary science provides independent evidence in support of EU policies on agriculture and international development.

The successful candidate will join the Land Unit Characterization for Policies Team of the Food Security Unit, which provides technical and methodological support to other Commission Services and to Member State (MS) administrations in the context of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). We carry out scientific research and provide advice in the development of land monitoring systems exploiting remote sensing and in situ data.
