Part‑Time English & Social Studies Teacher

Brightmont Academy is hiring part‑time teachers for 1st to 12th grade students across various campuses. The position is part‑time (~20 hours per week) with flexible scheduling, $24‑30 per hour, and one‑to‑one instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one‑to‑one, tailoring lessons to individual needs.
• Guide students to mastery using a gradual release approach.
• Focus on instruction without lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading.
• Participate in professional development to advance your teaching career.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
• Patience and empathy; commitment to supporting all learners.
• Passion for teaching and sharing your subject.
• Proficiency with G‑Suite and learning management software.
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ and WA) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications

• Orton Gillingham trained.
• Teaching certification (nice to have).
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area.
• Previous one‑to‑one teaching experience.
