This role supports the licensed nursing staff by providing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living for residents in our senior living community.

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.
EssentialJob Duties
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising
- Give treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed
- Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens
- Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed
- Answer signal lights promptly
- Change bed linens, make bed, and keep rooms clean and orderly
- Follow resident care plans
- Maintain safe and sanitary workstations and equipment
- Encourage independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs, and rehabilitation
- Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting. May be exposed to blood and body fluids which may contain HIV and/or HBV. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, Geri chair, or shower chair, pushing up to 150 pounds unassisted. Must be able to transfer, lift, turn, and position a resident weighing over 125 pounds. Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to 90% of the workday.
May be subjected to offensive odors and/or combative behavior. Must be able to reach up to a level of six feet. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to push a dietary cart up to 40 pounds unassisted.
