Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low risk antepartum, and OB-GYN surgical cases
• 1:1 to 1:3 nurse-to-patient staffing ratio
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week (19:00 to 7:30)
• Float required to Post-Partum and NICU units based on skill set
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Perform and assist with special procedures such as blood product administration, cardioversion, drains, epidural and PCA pumps, and wound care
• Will attend all deliveries, including high risk cases, provide couplet care, and manage transition nursery responsibilities
• Role includes circulating, scrubbing, pre-op, and post-op duties as applicable
• Travelers may be required to float to other units or facilities within the state as needed
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is accepted; all RTO must be declared at submission
• Returning perm employees must have separated at least 3 months before assignment and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be specified by the facility
• All mandatory onboarding and training modules must be completed prior to start

• Active RN license in WA or compact state required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide proof of address (driver’s license) for compliance with facility radius rules
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in comparable specialty required
• Current certifications relevant to Labor and Delivery as specified in the job description
• Must not be a first-time traveler
