Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (travel nursing experience required)

• Active Washington or Compact RN license

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM

• Proficient in Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting

• Ability to float to Post-Partum and NICU units based on clinical skills

• Two supervisory references from the past 3 years (covering at least 1 year)
L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including low-risk antepartum and couplet care

• Circulate for C-sections, assist with high-risk deliveries, and attend all deliveries

• Administer blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin, heparin, and other medications

• Operate specialized equipment: epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs

• Perform triage, pre-op, post-op, and scrub duties as needed

• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EHR system

• Float to Post-Partum and NICU units as required

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
