American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

• Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Facility delivers 200-300 births per month
• Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, and high-risk antepartum cases
• Teaching hospital setting
• Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
• Responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk L&D care
• Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and GYN surgeries
• Provides couplet care and transition nursery support
• Uses specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac
• Administers blood/blood products, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
• Performs cardioversion/defibrillation and cooling/warming blanket procedures
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• 13 or 26 week contract options available
• Floating required to Post-Partum and possibly L&D at a sister facility

• Active WA or compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Experience with anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate therapy
• Experience assisting with high-risk deliveries and circulating for C-sections
• Skilled in sterile vaginal exams and C-section recovery
• Experience with epidural anesthesia and pain assessment/management
• Experience with IUPC placement and calibration
• Experience with fetal monitoring and obstetrical triage
• Experience with postpartum and wound assessment/care
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month separation, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including location and dates
• Up to 2 major holidays off can be requested, with only 1 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year's/Eve) required to be worked
