Flex Clerks have a unique opportunity to gain experience across multiple departments, balancing cashiering with roles in the grocery, produce, and other areas such as the Deli. They provide professional customer service, manage stock, rotate produce displays, and support other departments as needed.

Starting wage range: $17.16 - $17.45 per hour.

• Provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Stock and rotate grocery, dairy, frozen, and bulk products.
• Manage produce displays and rotate produce in back stock and on the sales floor.
• Update price changes and signage.
• Maintain department sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Operate equipment in accordance with PCC standards.
• Serve as the go‑to person for special orders and grocery questions.
• Work DSD orders when assigned.
• Accurately scan and key items into register while cashiering and process payments.
• Perform basic math skills and be proficient at 10‑key.
• Communicate effectively about PCC’s membership and programs.
• Handle merchandise returns and bag groceries according to PCC bagging guidelines.
• Maintain an orderly appearance at the register.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the store.

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable with excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and proficiency at 10‑key.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Preferred background in retail or public customer contact; cashiering or retail grocery experience ideal.
• Capable of meeting physical demands, including standing, bending, twisting, and lifting 10–40 lbs regularly.
• Current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Additional $1.25 per hour night differential when applicable.
