Job Summary

Manage all aspects of the Shoe department which include Profit & Loss responsibilities, seasonal sets, on‑hand price integrity, and to maintain a clean, recovered, and in‑stock department. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inventory control functions and maintain department books.
  • Plan ads/store events, verify they are set to standard, and verify price changes are completed to standard.
  • Coordinate and organize merchandising of the section, including maintenance and repair needs.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and resolve verbal comments/complaints.
  • Maintain compliance with divisional signing, recovery, ticketing, stockroom, and fixture usage and maintenance standards; corporate policies; merchandising standards;
    Replenishment Management System (RMS) functions and Function 8; freight receiving and stocking standards; all safety guidelines; shipping/receiving procedures; shrink control guidelines.
  • Audit and take appropriate action on scan audits, inventory mismatches, and callback follow‑ups.
  • Process freight, mismates, intersection transfers, and file mail, while maintaining awareness of overstock/understock conditions.
  • Sell merchandise to customers, perform cashier functions, and promote company initiatives.
  • Maintain the condition of the department, salvage procedures, and the overall appearance of common associate areas such as break rooms and training areas.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications – Minimum
  • High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of six months of Fred Meyer experience and one to two years related retail experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, nights on a regular basis, any shift, and overtime as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Accuracy/attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize a variety of tasks and projects.
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
Qualifications – Desired
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
  • Ability to operate special equipment, machinery, or tools:
    Symbol, Enterprise Signs and Tags Printing (ESTP), and Shelf Price Audit (SPA) unit.
  • Second language proficiency.
  • Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage team members to provide excellent customer service.
