Wastewater Process Engineer

Clim Align is looking for a talented Wastewater Process Engineer to join our innovative Design Center team. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing and optimizing wastewater treatment processes to meet environmental regulations and advance our sustainability goals. Proficiency with wastewater treatment plant simulation software, such as GPS-X and/or Bio Win, is essential.

Candidates can look forward to regular client contact, a role in business development and proposal writing and methodology creation.

• Conduct detailed analyses of wastewater treatment systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering plans and specifications for wastewater projects.
• Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, including equipment selection, sizing, calculations and process modelling.
• Implement innovative solutions to enhance wastewater treatment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of new technologies and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to wastewater treatment processes for various clients.
• Participate in team assignments, occasionally leading specific areas of expertise and mentoring design and consulting staff.
• Present project deliverables to clients.
• Supervise, delegate, direct, coach and mentor junior technical staff.
• Assist in the development of qualification packages and proposals.

Education. BSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field; MSc preferred.

Experience. 5+ years in wastewater process engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical skills. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes and wastewater treatment processes. Proficiency with process modelling software and data analysis tools.

Certifications. Professional Engineering (PE) licensure preferred.

Soft skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal and technical writing skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse and inclusive team environment. Strong commitment to exceeding client expectations.
