Technical Support Engineer (Database & Big Data Focus

For a global technology company operating in cloud and digital infrastructure, we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer with a strong database and big data background
, based in Istanbul.

This is NOT a typical support role

We are not looking for someone who just closes tickets.

We are looking for someone who:

• Solves critical production incidents (P0 / P1) on database and big data systems
• Prevents issues from happening again

This is a problem-solving heavy, SRE-minded role within a support organization, acting as an escalation point beyond standard L1 support, focused on cloud database and big data services
.

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues on database and big data services
• Perform root cause analysis and document findings for data-layer incidents
• Drive database performance, reliability, and scalability improvements
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams, providing technical insights on data workloads

Strong background in database and big data technologies is essential.

• Hands-on experience in DBA / Database Operations or database & big data technical support at a cloud service provider (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Tencent Cloud, etc.)
• Deep expertise in one or more:
• Relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server
• Big data stack: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Click House, Flink

Most important:
Ability to clearly explain a real production database or big data incident you solved.

• You don't stop until you find the root cause
