Research Scientist, Research Analyst
Istinye University welcomes visiting researchers who are funded by EU or national programmes, particularly those specializing in migration and refugee studies. These visits may constitute a part of sabbatical leave or be integrated into a broader research project.
The visiting researchers will receive supervision from Prof. Dr. Ayselin YILDIZ, at the Department of International Relations who also serves as Vice‑Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, responsible for research initiatives. The scope of activities includes conducting research and projects on various dimensions of migration, publishing scholarly works, sharing best practices, and fostering dialogue between migrants and local communities.
Visiting researchers are provided to benefit university's vibrant research environment. Interested candidates are encouraged to send their

For funding opportunities, Istinye University is open to collaborate in the following programmes:
- 2221 - Fellowships for Visiting Scientists and Scientists on Sabbatical Leave
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) grants fellowships for international scientists/researchers who would like to give workshops/conferences/lectures, or conduct R&D activities in Turkey.
Three types of visit are granted within this program:
1. Visiting Scientists/researchers on Short‑term (up to 1 month)
2. Visiting Scientists/researchers on Long term (up to 12 months)
3. Scientists/researchers on SABBATICAL LEAVE (from 3 months to 12 months)
- 2216 - Research Fellowship Programme for International Researchers
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) grants fellowships for international highly qualified PhD students and young post‑doctoral researchers to pursue their research in Turkey.
- British Academy- ODA Global Innovation Fellowships
The aim of the programme is to provide opportunities to UK‑based early‑ and mid‑career researchers from across the humanities and social sciences to develop their skills, networks and careers in the creative and cultural, public, private and policy sectors to address challenges that require innovative approaches and solutions.
