Dr. Ayse Koca Caydasi invites applications from highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to apply for a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship and carry out their project in her laboratory at KoC University, Istanbul.
Eligibility:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in biology, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
Research Focus:
Our research aims to understand how cell cycle progression is coordinated in space and time, with a particular emphasis on phosphoinositide (PI) signaling lipids -especially PI3,5P82- during mitosis. Using the genetically tractable model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae, we combine genetics, biochemistry, and quantitative live-cell imaging to uncover how lipid signaling is integrated into core cell cycle networks and how its misregulation affects cellular fitness and division fidelity.
Candidate Expectations:
The selected fellow is expected to conduct high-quality research, write papers, and apply for funding to work toward establishing scientific independence.
