We are a UK-based freight forwarding company looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding / Logistics Controller to join our growing team in Istanbul.
The role will be dedicated to managing freight operations for our UK business, working directly with our UK team, customers, carriers, shipping lines and overseas partners. All communication and day-to-day operations will therefore be conducted entirely in English.

We are a UK-based freight forwarding company looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarding / Logistics Controller to join our growing team in Istanbul.
The role will be dedicated to managing freight operations for our UK business, working directly with our UK team, customers, carriers, shipping lines and overseas partners. All communication and day-to-day operations will therefore be conducted entirely in English.
Who are we looking for?We are particularly interested in candidates who already have experience within freight forwarding, shipping or international logistics.
Previous freight forwarding experience is highly desirable, particularly experience in air freight, ocean freight, import/export operations or Cargo Wise.
However, we would also consider an exceptional junior candidate with strong English, excellent organisational skills and the right attitude to learn and develop within international freight forwarding.
For less experienced candidates, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage import and export shipments for the UK market.
- Communicate with UK customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines and other carriers.
- Monitor shipment progress and provide timely updates.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation.
- Support day-to-day logistics operations and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and internal reports.
- Work closely with our UK operations team to provide a high level of customer service.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Previous experience within freight forwarding, shipping or international logistics is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Cargo Wise would be a significant advantage.
- Confident communicating in a professional business environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Junior applicants without previous freight experience should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in building a career in international freight forwarding.
