Reporting to the Costing & Sourcing Manager, the Costing Analyst (M/F) ensures accurate cost management, supports vendor negotiations, and maintains reliable costing data across all categories. The role collaborates closely with the Product Development team to assess cost implications, drives cost optimization through analysis and benchmarking, and manages supplier information and performance, while ensuring all cost components contribute to informed decisions and margin optimization.

Your missions will include

Partner with the Costing & Sourcing manager to support cost analysis and vendor negotiations

Collect, review and maintain accurate and up to date cost sheets across all categories

Support on negotiations with vendors on MOQ, production lead times and payment terms

Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to assess design and materials changes into cost implications

Build a strong understanding of raw materials, garment construction and manufacturing process to enhance cost accuracy

Maintain & update the supplier database including onboarding new vendors

Support onboarding of new vendors by ensuring all required documentation is collected

Track and evaluate vendor performance on a seasonal basis identifying opportunities for improvement

Conduct cost benchmarking and comparative analysis to drive cost efficiencies and margin optimization

Proactively identify cost savings opportunities without sacrificing quality or design intention

Understand duty impacts and freight costs within total garment costs

About you
We are looking for a junior professional passionate about performance apparel and product development, with a strong analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail.

Education

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Fashion Business, or a related field

Experience

1–2 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or product development

Internship experience in apparel, sportswear, or sporting goods is a plus

Exposure to technical apparel and/or accessories, particularly working with European and Asian suppliers, is considered an advantage

Technical Skills

Ability to read, interpret, and work with technical specifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, reporting, and tracking)

Solid analytical mindset combined with attention to detail and technical accuracy

Interest in materials, innovation, and performance-driven products

Fluent in English (written and spoken), Italian proficiency will be a plus

Soft Skills

Highly organized and methodical, able to manage multiple priorities effectively

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams (design, development, sourcing)

Curious and proactive, with a genuine passion for product and continuous learning

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Problem-solving mindset, solution‑oriented, and results‑driven

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
