Field Service Technician

Location: Via Milano

We are seeking a Field Service Technician responsible for the service, maintenance, retrofitting, and installation of Ingersoll’s AFP (Automated Fiber Placement) and 3DP (3D Printing) machine tools across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. This role involves both remote and on-site support, ensuring that customer assets perform to the highest standards and maintaining customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:

Perform on-site service, maintenance, and installations of high-tech AFP and 3DP machinery.

Troubleshoot technical issues remotely and in-person.

Support retrofit projects and machine upgrades.

Ensure machines meet performance standards and optimize uptime for clients.

Build strong relationships with customers and provide professional after-sales support.

Profile Requirements:

Must-Haves:

Maximum 3 years of experience.

Based near Milan for proximity to CAM and INNSE-BERARDI operations.

Willing to travel internationally up to 70%, with assignments lasting up to 1 month.

Solid knowledge of PLC and CNC systems (Siemens experience preferred).Prior experience in a mechatronics-related company (not necessarily in machine tools).Familiarity with robot operation, installation, and mechatronics start-ups.

Nice-to-Have

Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot wiring and electrical systems.

Experience with servo-activated systems (fluid and electrical).Understanding of closed and open-loop axis control.

Experience with CNC/PLC software loading, logic debugging, and parameter configuration.

Knowledge of CNC axis compensation for machine geometry.

Experience with AFP, ATL, LFAM technologies.

Familiarity with composite materials (especially hand lay-up processes).Seniority level
