The Role
For those interested in immersing themselves in a professional and aspirational environment that supports your success and ongoing learning and development, we welcome applications for a permanent, full-time English & Humanities Teacher in Years 7 – 12 commencing in 2027.

Applicants must have a positive attitude and a proven record of excellence in teaching that incorporates evidenced-based practice in an engaging and supportive manner. Teachers at Geelong Grammar School are required to be actively involved in our pastoral care and co-curricular programmes.

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting the collaborative design of the Years 7–12 curriculum across English and Humanities

Contributing to co-curricular programs and broader initiatives across the School’s campuses

Participating in professional learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement activities

Undertaking administrative, organisational and supervisory requirements

Enabling student wellbeing through pastoral care, relationship building and active engagement with families

Other duties as required commensurate with your teaching role

What We Are Looking For

An experienced educator with a strong teaching background in middle and/or senior years

The ability to teach a combination of English and Humanities

Passionate about contemporary pedagogy and adolescent development

Strong curriculum design and planning skills

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, parents, staff and externals stakeholders

Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work across faculties and with external partners

Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail
