Dallara is the sole supplier for the Indy Car, IndyNXT, Formula 2, Formula 3, Euro Formula, Formula E, and Super Formula championships. Additionally, it develops and produces some of the cars competing in the WEC and IMSA championships and offers consultancy in other championships, including NASCAR. Since the early 2000s, the Dallara Group has provided specialized consultancy and professional assistance to manufacturers and racing teams to develop both racing and road cars.

On November 16, 2016, the Dallara Stradale was unveiled, the first road car bearing the Dallara brand, embodying Engineer Dallara’s dream and synthesizing nearly 50 years of innovation. Subsequently, the Dallara EXP, a track version of the Stradale, was developed, representing the essence of sporting spirit with extreme performance and FIA safety standards. In recent years, the Dallara Group has also started collaborating on developing solutions for the aerospace industry.

The Role

As a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer – Simulation & Modeling, you will join the Vehicle Dynamics & Performance Dept. at Dallara Automobili, a company within the Dallara Group specializing in the design, pre-series production, and testing of products for the three business units:
Racing, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defence.

Within the team, you will be responsible for developing the simulation tools used inside the group. Specifically, you will handle:

Developing multibody and mathematical models

Writing code for data post-processing

Implementing and tuning optimization algorithms

In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various company areas, including Design & Research, Aerodynamics and Software Engineering. You will join a young and dynamic environment where you can participate in highly challenging projects in the automotive and racing sectors.

What We Are Looking For

Master’s degree in mathematical sciences or engineering;

1–3 years of experience in simulation, modeling, or related fields;

Strong programming skills in Matlab, Python, and C++;

Proven experience with optimization algorithms;

Previous experience in laptime simulation tool development;

Good knowledge of control systems;

Good knowledge of English (minimum level B2);

Passion for motor sport and automotive;

Strong teamwork skills and a positive, open-minded attitude;

High motivation and commitment with a drive for innovation;

Flexibility for work trips and working hours, including short periods at the Indianapolis headquarters.
