Quality Control Engineer

Position Quality Control Engineer will report to the Quality Control Manager. The role requires a solid understanding of industrial, power or chemical plant quality control principles and a deep desire to be an active contributor in the energy transition industry.

Role and Responsibilities Creation, review and/or approval of Project Inspection and Test Plans based on contractual requirements and internal standards.

Review and approval of preliminary vendor procedures such as welding book, NDE procedure, PWHT procedure, hardness test procedure, etc.

Review and approval of Inspection and Test Records including Final Manufacturing Record books (MRB) and issuing Inspection Release Notes.

Coordinate external inspectors for assignments on all global scale.

Manage internal and external NCR aspects, including creation, discussion and closure.

Carry out inspection activities during manufacturing progress and at final stage, performing NDE, hydrostatic test, etc.

Provide QC support to all internal/external customers through correspondence and relationship management.

Ensure Company QC targets are reached and proactively anticipate potential issues.

Promote the Company culture and QHSE policy, and a safe, healthy, environmentally responsible working environment.

Required Qualifications and Knowledge Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience in welding, fabrication and standard NDE techniques.

Knowledge of major codes for pressure vessel (ASME/EN), pressure piping (ASME/EN), structural codes (ASCI/EN).Familiarity with directives and norms such as PED Directive, Machinery Directive, EN1090+ISO
3834, AWS D1.1, CSWIP 3.1.Desirable: NDE Level II in radiographic interpretation, CSWIP certification, European welding engineer or technologist, painting certification (NACE or FROSIO).Proficiency in Italian (professional) and English (professional).Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
