HSE Safety Engineer

Location: Cusano

Experteer Overview In this role you will support Italy-based teams and manage the Health & Safety Protection Service for the Agrate site, with involvement across Catania. You will develop and implement HSE programs to assess and minimize risks to employees, the environment, and the community. You will work with local regulators, drive continuous safety improvements, and align EH&S activities with management objectives.

Retribuzione / Benefits Ensure compliance with applicable HSE codes, standards, and regulations and liaise with regulatory authorities

Investigate environmental and safety incidents and lead corrective actions (root cause analysis preferred)
Advise country management on safety issues and prepare action plans for improvement

Develop prevention and protection strategies and guide teams to improve performance and customer satisfaction

Review and report EH&S progress and metrics for the site/function according to management-defined indicators

Ensure projects meet EH&S objectives and provide updates to management

Monitor evolving EHS legislation and ensure compliance

Communicate EH&S matters to managers and employees

Stay informed on safety and environmental technology and apply relevant improvements

Collaborate with EMEA EHS Manager and site management to drive programs

ResponsabilitàExperience in EHS programs and regulatory compliance

Ability to liaise with local/regional/national authorities

Incident investigation and corrective actions experience; root cause analysis preferred

Advisory role to management on safety issues

Knowledge of risk assessment and prevention strategies

Experience in project alignment with EH&S objectives

Strong communication with cross-functional teams

Willingness to travel as required (20% stated)
