Experteer Overview Join Jacobs as a Permitting Specialist within the environmental team in Italy to drive permitting, planning, and sustainability-focused projects. You will support a Milan-based team on environmental services, ensuring compliance and high-quality outcomes across project life cycles. The role blends technical execution with collaboration across engineers, scientists, and planners in a hybrid work setting. You will contribute to energy transition initiatives and climate-focused efforts while upholding company standards and values.

Responsibilities Provide technical support across environmental services (permitting, planning, EIA, due diligence, compliance audits)
Contribute to environmental projects across all lifecycle stages
Support energy transition and climate-focused initiatives
Ensure adherence to quality, environmental management, sustainability, and health & safety standards
Promote company values and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver outcomes
Approach tasks with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders
Qualifications Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline
1–5 years of experience in environmental consultancy/permitting
Solid understanding of AIA, AUA, VIA permitting regulations
Knowledge of core EHS regulations and sustainability principles
Strong data management and reporting capabilities
Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
Innovative mindset with interest in digital tools and visual communication
