Senior Maintenance Engineer

Overview In this role you support plant maintenance by directing teams and ensuring smooth operations through procurement, inventory control, supplier oversight and budget management, with strict adherence to safety, regulatory and documentation standards. You will coordinate internal and external resources to plan and execute maintenance interventions, while maintaining compliance and traceability. This position offers a hands‑on opportunity to optimise material flow and contractor management within Bolton Food's maintenance function.

You will contribute to reliable plant operations and cost‑conscious, compliant processes.

Benefits Procurement and availability management for maintenance materials, spare parts, consumables and chemicals.

Oversee spare parts warehouses and implement effective inventory management.

Coordinate internal technical teams and external contractors for maintenance planning and execution.

Manage external supplier contracts, planning, supervision and reporting of activities.

Monitor maintenance budgets (spare parts, consumables, external services) and drive cost control.

Ensure proper documentation, traceability and compliance with regulatory, safety and audit requirements.

Responsibilities Degree in Engineering or related fields.

Experience in coordination roles and budget management.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with focus on cost control and efficiency.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in Office suite with strong Excel skills.
