Overview In this role you will act as a technical bridge between customers, sales, and R&D to enable UEI hardware and software adoption across Europe. You’ll support design, deployment, and debugging, and deliver calibration and service work from UEI’s Milan station. You’ll engage in pre‑ and post‑sales activities, run technical trainings, and help shape product enhancements through customer feedback. This position offers hands‑on engineering impact with regional travel, cross‑functional teamwork, and a strong customer‑experience focus.
Responsibilities Support European customers in designing, deploying, and debugging UEI solutions
Provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical support via phone, email, virtual meetings, and on‑site visits
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and embedded systems at system level
Perform application analysis, prototyping, testing, and debugging for effective solutions
Conduct software testing, code reviews, and validation for customer and internal systems
Bridge customers, sales, and R&D to relay requirements and suggest enhancements
Lead customer training sessions (remote and on‑site) on UEI products
Collaborate with European sales to drive opportunity development from initial contact to close
Qualify technical requirements and propose appropriate UEI hardware/software
Assist with solution positioning, technical presentations, and product demonstrations
Prepare quotations and technical documentation for the sales process
Maintain accurate CRM records of customer activities and opportunities
Participate in sales meetings and regional planning
Represent UEI at trade shows and events
Operate and support EU calibration station in Milan, including calibration, verification, and testing of UEI products
Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with quality/regulatory standards
Coordinate calibration scheduling across Europe and maintain a safe lab environment
Serve as regional point of contact for calibration‑technical questions
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
5+ years in a customer‑facing technical role (Applications Engineer, FAE, Sales Engineer, etc.)
5+ years hands‑on experience with calibration, electronic test equipment, or service lab operations
Experience in data acquisition, embedded control, test & measurement, or related systems
Travel approx. 30% across Europe
Fluent English (additional languages a plus)
