Sr. MEP Manager, GES International Design and Construction

Location: Turbigo

Description  We are Amazon’s GES International Design & Construction team, responsible for the design and construction of Amazon’s European building infrastructure, including Fulfilment Centers, Cross Dock and last mile delivery stations, and for refurbishments of existing infrastructure. The team operates as part of the Global Engineering Services team, delivering all aspects of our buildings such as mechanical handling equipment and Amazon Robotics equipment.

This role serves as the subject‑matter expert for Mechanical & Electrical & HVAC, linking the construction, pre‑construction, sustainability and worldwide building design teams.

Key Job Responsibilities   Review, challenge and improve mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and BMS services, as well as the holistic design of template prototypes for new‑build or refurbishment projects.
Lead technical program and sustainability reviews, driving schedule acceleration, cost savings and standardisation.
Define and implement strategies for data collection and provision for information management on existing and new real‑estate assets.
Collect and synchronise feedback from developers, GCs, consultants and internal stakeholders.
Assist Preconstruction and Construction Managers during design reviews, GC procurement, value engineering and tender reviews.
Deep‑dive into technical details and lead problem resolution on an as‑needed basis.
Basic Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree
Experience in project management, real estate development, architecture/design
Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems design
Experience in technical leadership of development, testing and implementation of large‑scale, complex technology projects
Experience using business or technical software such as MS Excel, MS Project or CAD software

Experience with simulation and 3D modelling software
Experience in 3D CAD

Preferred Qualifications   Fluency in one or more of the following languages is considered a plus:
French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans, Zulu.
