Project Manager Sales

Experteer Overview As Project Manager Sales, you act as the primary commercial and technical liaison, steering turnkey bid projects from proposal to contract. You partner with the Core Sales Team and Project Owner Sales to define strategy, manage the bid budget, and negotiate with customers and partners. You lead cross-functional discussions, ensure a competitive overall bid, and represent SMS group externally.

This role combines technical insight with commercial leadership to win high-value projects.

Retribuzione / Benefits Represent SMS group to customers and coordinate internal project alignment

Lead core team meetings, document outcomes, and negotiate with stakeholders

Define project strategy and requirements in collaboration with the Core Sales Team Manage the bid budget and target costing for the overall project

Act as the primary negotiation point with customers and contract partners

Coordinate meetings, risk discussions, and data collection for project decisions

Exercise authority to sign legally binding contracts in written power of attorney

Coordinate travel within company guidelines and ensure project-related data is accessible

Responsabilità

Graduate or Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar3–4 years of experience in technical sales for complex plant manufacturers

Ability to analyze complex customer requests and prepare technical offers

Commercial skills to identify competitive solutions and manufacturing strategies

Strong knowledge of mechanical drawings; basic knowledge of media systems, electric and automation packages

Coordination skills to lead the proposal project team Willingness to travel worldwide

Fluent English;
German knowledge a plus Proficiency in Office package and basic knowledge of SAPDrawing tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo are plus but not required
