Principal Corporate Counsel

Experteer Overview  In this role you will provide regulatory guidance across EMEA environmental sustainability laws, align internal processes with evolving standards, and shape Cisco’s compliance program. You’ll partner with Sustainability, Supply Chain, Legal, Government Affairs, and engineering teams to embed regulatory requirements into product development and operations. You will influence policy through industry groups and regulators, helping Cisco access EMEA markets while mitigating risk.

This is a high-impact, cross‑functional role at the intersection of law, regulation, and technology.
Retribuzione / Benefits   Monitor and interpret EMEA environmental regulations and directives (eg ROHS, REACH, WEEE, PFAS, EPR, ESPR, CSRD, EU Batteries Regulation)
Drive Cisco’s environmental compliance strategy and develop internal policies and procedures
Develop and deliver training on regulatory requirements to stakeholders
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to embed compliance into product design/development
Partner with Government Affairs to influence regulations
Engage with industry associations
Support regulators and enforcement actions when needed
Responsabilità   Qualified lawyer (LLB, JD, or equivalent) in EU or UK
7+ years of post‑qualification experience in sustainability or related regulatory compliance fields
In‑depth knowledge of environmental sustainability regulations
Strong interpersonal and English communication skills; additional European languages are a plus
