Interim Public Works Advisor for Municipal Projects

Overview
Management Partners  is actively seeking seasoned municipal public works professionals to assist local municipalities with short-term assignments and projects. Our consultants help cities, counties, and other public agencies tackle complex problems and develop implementable solutions.

Requirements and Experience

Knowledge of public works operations, including construction, engineering, maintenance, and administrative procedures.

Ability to plan, organize, schedule, coordinate and direct public works functions, including streets, solid waste, water, and sewer utilities and engineering.

Knowledge and experience in the application of management and supervisory principles and practices as applied to municipal government.

Knowledge and experience in municipal procedures relating to finance, personnel, purchasing, office operations, risk management, and public relations.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering and construction, particularly as applied to municipal functions.

Ability to efficiently prepare and maintain thorough and accurate reports and records.

Competent preparation of reports utilizing Microsoft Word.

Learning and utilization of Microsoft SharePoint file‑management software.

Use of Zoom and Microsoft Teams to conduct online meetings.

Collaboration as a team member within Management Partners.

Learning and applying professional practices as a firm.

Open to retirees with a background as deputy and department directors in local governments.
