We are now seeking a dynamic and passionate General Manager to join our team and lead day-to-day operations.

The Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of Casa Newton, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, smooth operations, and a supportive work environment for the team. You will be the face of the property and the key point of contact for owners, staff, and guests. You’ll be the soul of Casa Newton. This is not a behind-the-desk job; you will live and breathe the property, working closely with the owners and the current team, welcoming guests, building community with local partners, and ensuring every stay is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all hotel operations, including front office, guest services, housekeeping, and F&B
Maintain 5-star boutique service standards while ensuring a warm, personalized guest experience
Recruit, manage, and motivate a small, close-knit team
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational protocols
Manage daily budgets, supplier relations, and basic reporting
Develop and nurture relationships with local partners, artisans, and producers
Collaborate closely with our winery partner to create immersive guest experiences
Take an active role in the ongoing creative and strategic development of Casa Newton
Represent the property professionally both locally and online
Communicate regularly with the owners with transparency and initiative

Ideal Profile
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a management position in boutique or luxury hospitality, ideally in Italy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English
Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with digital platforms such as Mailchimp
Hands-on, proactive, and unafraid to jump in where needed, with a strong attention to detail and quality
Natural host with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
Passion for design, wine, slow living, and authentic guest experiences
Experience managing small teams and understanding the realities of small-scale operations
Comfortable living on-site and embracing Tuscan countryside life
EU citizenship or a valid work permit is required
